Who HOMAI is for
HOMAI is built for teams that make decisions about Norwegian buildings without visiting each one: insurers, banks and lenders, real-estate investors and property managers. They all work from the same report per address and use it for different jobs.
Which teams is HOMAI built for?
Pick your industry to see what HOMAI delivers for your decisions, and where its limits are.
Insurance
Underwriters check roof condition and flood, landslide, precipitation and storm exposure before they quote, renew or send an inspector.
Banks and lenders
Credit and risk teams see the physical climate risk behind each collateral property and across the mortgage book.
Real-estate investors
Investment teams check hazards, roof condition and registry facts before an acquisition and compare assets in a portfolio.
Property managers
Managers and housing associations find the roofs that need attention first and feed the findings into the maintenance plan.
Which platform modules matter for your team?
Every team starts from the same building-level report. What differs is which module answers its main question.
| Team | Roof analysis | Physical climate risk | Portfolio analytics | Method |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Insurance | Roof factors per address before a quote or renewal | Flood, landslide, precipitation and storm bands per address | The whole book by risk band | An explainable, deterministic score |
| Banks and lenders | Roof condition of the collateral | Hazards for each collateral property | Risk bands across the loan book | An audit trail of sources and formula |
| Real-estate investors | Roof condition before an acquisition | Input to due diligence and ESG reporting | Assets compared side by side | Sources and method you can cite |
| Property managers | A remote roof survey of every building | Flood and landslide exposure per building | Buildings prioritised by risk band | Clear limits: when a site visit is still needed |
Some teams look at the same buildings from two sides. Insurers and property managers deal with the same roofs, one for claims and one for maintenance. Banks and investors see the same buildings from the financing side and the ownership side.

What does every team get, and what does HOMAI not do?
Whatever the industry, a HOMAI report for a Norwegian address contains:
- 10 roof risk factors, scored from up to seven images, the property registers and the climate data;
- 4 climate exposures (flood, landslide, precipitation and storm), each banded 1–5;
- registry facts from Matrikkelen, terrain from the national height model, and planning and hazard zones;
- a deterministic score banded Low, Medium or High, with the formula shown;
- a provenance label, provider and confidence on every derived value;
- an on-screen report and an A4 PDF built from the same report;
- analysis history per property and a portfolio view over the latest analyses.
Administrators decide which report sections appear on screen and in the PDF, and control users, roles, categories and access per user.
The limits are the same for everyone. HOMAI is remote screening, not a site inspection or a certified condition report (tilstandsrapport). It has no cost or valuation model and no continuous monitoring or alerts, and it works from current hazard maps and historical statistics, not future climate scenarios. It covers Norway only, and a full analysis can take minutes.
