For developers and teams
HOMAI API for developers and teams
The HOMAI property data API delivers roof condition, climate and natural-hazard exposure and a building-level risk score for each address as JSON, so you can use them inside your own underwriting, lending, property or maintenance software. Request access below: we review every request and issue an API key to approved teams.
What is the HOMAI API?
The HOMAI API is a property data API for roof and climate risk. For an address, it returns the same results you find in the HOMAI dashboard and the PDF report: the roof condition assessment and roof risk, the property's exposure to flood, landslide, extreme rain and storm, and an overall risk score with a Low, Medium or High risk band.
The results come from HOMAI's AI analysis of satellite imagery and its climate and natural-hazard assessment of the location. Your developers do not need to build or maintain any of that: they receive finished, building-level results in a format your systems can use straight away.
The API is one of three ways to use the HOMAI platform, next to the dashboard and the PDF report. All three show the same assessment.
What can you build with HOMAI data?
Product and data teams use the HOMAI API to put roof and climate risk where decisions are made.
Underwriting and pricing tools
Show roof condition and climate exposure next to each policy, so underwriters see the risk of the building before they quote.
Lending and collateral platforms
Add building-level climate and roof risk to credit decisions and to the overview of the loan book.
Property and portfolio software
Rank every building in a portfolio by risk inside the tools your asset and property teams already use.
Maintenance planning
Feed roof condition and recommendations into maintenance plans, so work starts on the roofs that need it most.
Climate risk reporting
Use building-level physical climate risk as input to climate stress tests, EU taxonomy assessments and internal risk reports.
Data platforms and dashboards
Bring HOMAI results into your data warehouse or BI tools and combine them with your own property data.
What does the HOMAI API give you?
Roof condition and roof risk
The condition of the roof and its risk, assessed from satellite imagery, for each address you send.
Climate and natural-hazard exposure
How exposed the property is to flood, landslide, extreme rain and storm.
Building-level risk scores
An overall risk score and a Low, Medium or High band, on the same scale for every building.
JSON per address
Structured results your systems can read directly, ready for your own rules, screens and reports.
API keys with scoped access
Each key gives access only to the data agreed for it, so every integration gets exactly what it needs.
PDF reports
The same assessment as a PDF report, for colleagues and customers who do not work in your system.

Why integrate HOMAI instead of building it yourself?
Building your own roof and climate risk data takes specialist skills and a lot of work, and the data has to be kept up to date after that. With the HOMAI API your team gets the finished result through one integration:
- Building-level results. Every answer is about one building, not a postcode or a grid cell.
- One scale for every address. Results are comparable across a whole portfolio, from the first building to the last.
- No site visits. Roofs and climate exposure are assessed remotely, in minutes per building and at the scale of a full portfolio.
- Your tools, your workflow. Users stay in the systems they know; HOMAI works in the background.
- One assessment everywhere. The API, the dashboard and the PDF report show the same results.
Where does the HOMAI API work?
Norway is our home market, and HOMAI was built for Norwegian properties first. We also take on work elsewhere in Europe and further afield, for example in the US. Tell us in your request where your properties are, and we will confirm what the API delivers for those locations. Read more about where HOMAI works.
How does access to the HOMAI API work?
There is no self-service sign-up. Access is agreed with each team, in three steps.
You send a request
Tell us who you are, what you want to build, where your properties are and roughly how many addresses you expect.
We review it
We look at your use case, agree with you which data you need and set up the terms of access.
You get an API key
Approved teams receive an API key with access to the agreed data, and the technical information they need to integrate.
Request access to the HOMAI API
Fill in the form below. Tell us about your company, the system you want to connect and the markets your properties are in. We read every request and reply by email. If you would rather see HOMAI first, book a demo.

Frequently asked questions
- What data does the HOMAI API return?
For each address, the API returns roof condition and roof risk, the property's exposure to flood, landslide, extreme rain and storm, and an overall risk score with a Low, Medium or High risk band, as JSON. Your API key decides which of these parts your integration receives.
- Who can get access to the HOMAI API?
Businesses that work with property risk: insurers, banks and lenders, property owners and managers, real-estate investors, and the software teams that build tools for them. We review every request before we issue an API key.
- Can we sign up and start right away?
No. There is no self-service sign-up. Send a request with the form on this page, and we will get back to you to agree on the data you need and the terms of access.
- Does the API cover properties in other countries?
Yes. Norway is our home market, and we also take on work elsewhere in Europe and further afield, for example in the US. Tell us in your request where your properties are, and we will confirm what the API delivers there.
- Can insurers use the HOMAI API in underwriting?
Yes. Insurers can bring roof condition, climate exposure and the risk score of each insured building into their underwriting and pricing tools, so the risk of the building is visible before a quote is given. Read more about HOMAI for insurers.
- Can we get PDF reports as well as data?
Yes. Every HOMAI assessment can also be shared as a PDF report, with the same results as the API. That is useful for colleagues, customers or a board who do not work in your system.
- What does API access cost?
Access is agreed with each team. After we have reviewed your request, we come back to you with the options that fit your use case and the number of addresses you expect.
- Can our team use HOMAI without integrating the API?
Yes. The same assessments are available in the HOMAI dashboard and as PDF reports, so a team can start there and connect the API later. See the HOMAI platform or book a demo.
